Cooperatives Act, 2017

This Act was promulgated to promote self-reliance among farmers, laborers, and low-income groups according to cooperative values and principles. It aims to develop the cooperative movement as a strong pillar of the national economy. The law provides the legal framework for the registration, operation, management of savings and credit, and the overall regulation and inspection of cooperative societies.
